Estepona sits on the western Costa del Sol, about twenty minutes from Marbella and an hour from Málaga airport. Known as the Garden of the Costa del Sol, its old town is one of the most photographed in Andalusia, with flower-filled streets and the open-air Ruta de los Murales running through it. Renting here means a walkable town centre, a working marina and more than twenty kilometres of beach — not a resort that empties out in October.

Planning your stay

Estepona is comfortable year-round: check average temperatures and sea temperature month by month before choosing your dates, or consult the Spanish met office, AEMET, for current forecasts. For an afternoon out of the sun, the Estepona Orchidarium is a five-minute walk from the old town, and the town hall publishes the municipal calendar of ferias and markets.
